Welcome Pink Sisters!
I have been searching for a support group since my breast cancer diagnosis 4 years ago. My journey led me to the realization that there were none, locally. Yet I personally know a dozen or more women that have also diagnosed with breast cancer with no luck finding any local support. Don’t get me wrong, my work family and my immediate family and friends have been phenomenal with their support. I am a lucky girl! But there was always something missing. I believe it’s the personal connections to people in the same boat that’s missing. So I’m going out of my box and starting this very personal breast cancer support group. I don’t care what stage of this journey you are in, you are welcome here. I don’t care if you are just starting out or if you’ve been a survivor for 50 years. You are welcome here. Only had to have surgery? Guess what? That ‘only’ surgery changed your life FOREVER! You are welcome here! Had a lumpectomy and got to keep your boobs? Bless you! You are still welcome here. Surgery and chemo? Yuck!! Didn’t have to have radiation? Thank God! You are welcome here. Decide to stop treatment? I feel you. I get it. You are welcome here!!
